Learn how best to manage PCI compliance at your institution

Understand how the PCI Council's Special Interest Groups' recommendations and new QSA Quality Assurance program will affect you

Benefit from the experience of other institutions that are working on PCI compliance on their campuses

Get your questions answered, including what to expect from the PCI Council in the future

Card acquirers and processors are now insisting that all their merchants, including Higher Education institutions, certify their compliance with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). In response, the Treasury Institute for Higher Education is again sponsoring a special one-day PCI DSS workshop this January.

If you are a business, financial, or IT manager responsible for complying with PCI-DSS, you cannot afford to miss this 1-day workshop January 27, 2010. Attendees will come away with a deeper understanding of the standards, how their institution can achieve and maintain compliance, and useful new contacts at other institutions facing the same challenges. At the workshop we will explore PCI implementation challenges unique to Higher Education including:

  • Identifying how to qualify for a simplified Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ), and exploring the pitfalls that can disqualify your institution from using SAQ C
  • Managing service providers, both those that are validated and those that are not
  • Managing third-party merchants on campus, and minimizing their impact on your own PCI compliance
  • Assessing if your purchasing and travel cards in scope for PCI
  • Exploring how the PCI Council’s Quality Assurance Program for QSAs and ASVs, and Special Interest Group (SIG) recommendations can affect you

The Institute’s recent PCI DSS workshop in May attracted over 100 professionals from public and private institutions nationwide and featured implementation case studies, energetic discussions, unique networking opportunities, and information sharing between participants and with speakers.

This workshop is for and by Education. Attendance is limited to education institutions except for participating banking and security experts. Register today and make your plans to join us in Long Beach.
