Walt is an e-commerce consultant with 30-years of finance and payment system experience, including 11 years with Visa.  He is a frequent speaker at Treasury Institute, NACUBO, Commonfund, and other higher education conferences.  He moderates the Institute’s PCI DSS Workshops, and he recently co-authored Why Banks View Campuses as High Risk Merchants, an analysis of information security breaches from 2000-2006, published in the AFP Exchange.  Walt consults with education institutions on planning, implementing, and managing their e-commerce systems, in particular achieving PCI DSS compliance.  Walt and his wife live in San Francisco.

Mark serves as Project Coordinator for the University of Notre Dame’s Credit Card support Program.  In this role, he conducted operations to support the University’s payment environment inventory, strategic planning and implementation efforts, and the leads institution’s PCI DSS compliance program.  Previously, Mark managed Notre Dame’s centralized e-commerce service, ND Marketplace.  There he designed and implemented business processes to support the new service, analyzed merchants’ business requirements, and adapted third-party software to meet user needs.
